Crucifiction is the major religious symbol. The Crucifiction of Jesus is regarded as the culminating redemptive act of his ministry.

The eminence of Jesus as a historical figure and the suffering and controversy associated with his death have stimulated the world to know the circumstances surrounding his crucifixion.

INRI letters just above the cross stan for "Iesvs Nazarenvs Rex Iudaeorvm" that means "Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews."

In the Gospel of John (19:19-20) the inscription is explained:
"Pilate also had an inscription written and put on the cross. It read, 'Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.' Many of the Jews read this inscription, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek."

Eucharist is also called Holly Communion. It is a great "sacrament" for the purpose of communicating the life of the Blessed Trinity to men.

The testimony for the real presence of Christ's body and blood in the Blessed Sacrament constitutes the starting point in the comparison the Fathers institute particularly between transubstantiation on the one hand, and annunciation and the nativity on the other hand. Eucharistic consecration is seen as the descent of the Word of God.
